Movie Clip

The difference between a movie clip symbol and a graphic symbol is that movie clips have their own timelines, while graphic symbols' timelines are bound to the main timeline. A movie clip symbol's animation can only be seen when selecting "Control," then "Test," while a graphic symbol's animation can be seen when scrubbing along the main timeline. This is why, in the above animation, only the graphic symbol can be seen moving.
